I am eternally grateful for my mother who traveled to the United States from South Korea to take care of me during the postpartum period after the birth of each of my three children. Despite enduring lifelong health challenges due to inadequate postpartum care herself, she took care of me during my postpartum period and helped me recover. 

However, I still carry a sense of guilt and remorse for the hardships she went through. I believe her selfless actions stemmed from a deep maternal love—a desire to provide me with the proper postpartum care she herself did not receive. If postpartum care centers and services had been available back then, my mother would not have had to endure so much suffering.

For those who live far away from their mothers or unable to receive postpartum care for various reasons, our team of postpartum caregivers provide compassionate support on their behalf. From the very moment a woman becomes a mother, the significance of postpartum care cannot be overstated, as this period entails immense physical and emotional challenges and substantial changes. Having raised my own three children, I firmly believe that a healthy mother creates a healthy and joyful home. Witnessing new mothers who receive postpartum care, recover quickly, and find joy in their time with heir newborns fills me with a profound sense of fulfillment and energizes me. 

I dedicate my postpartum caregiving practice to my own mother because her generosity inspires me to support others in their postpartum journey too. Having worked as a nurse and lactation counselor both in Korea and the United States, I now train postpartum caregivers through comprehensive educational programs and entrust them to the care of mothers.

With the establishment of K-Mama Doula, my aim is to provide sincere and attentive care to mothers embarking on the beautiful journey of welcoming their newborns. Through our services, we hope to ensure that mothers and families can fully embrace the happiness that comes with this precious time. We will always stand by our clients with the strong bond we forge, offering warm love and a spirit of service.
