What is Postpartum Care?
A maternal nutrition & health care program to support newborn babies and soothe the tired body and
mind of mothers during the postpartum period (6-8 weeks after childbirth). Postpartum Care promotes
lifelong health by assisting the transition from childbirth to unfamiliar child-rearing environments.
Postpartum caregivers have completed professional education such as caring and visiting the mother’s
home to provide postpartum care services.
Courtesy to postpartum caregivers
After giving birth, postpartum caregivers are the professional caregivers of the mother and newborn baby, so please treat them with basic courtesy.
-
For those who have completed professional postpartum care training and are dispatched to the home, please call them"Mrs."or Ms".
-
Caregivers are responsible for caring for mothers and newborn babies, so if you request excessive housework, it may interfere with the caregivers’ daily tasks. As a result, we advise not to request additional housework that is not outlined in the caregivers’ daily schedule.
-
There are cases in which some mothers or family members ask for heavy housework due to a lack of awareness of postpartum caregivers, or speak and act with personal humiliation. The postpartum caregivers are doing their best for the mothers, so please treat them with kindness and respect.
-
Meals for the postpartum caregivers are provided at the client's house after preparing the mother's meal
